Datuk Dr Tan Kee Kwong-Individuals do not count and do not matter
Federal Territory Gerakan chief Datuk Dr Tan Kee Kwong called on those who had asked him to resign for taking up a post in Pakatan Rakyat-led Selangor to rise above politics. He said with many issues currently troubling the people, it was time to rise above political interests for the greater good of the country.
I have been in politics a long time and have given this (the appointment) careful thought before accepting it,†he said. Tan said one must be brave and look back at why one became a politician.
“We must go back to our initial struggle – regardless of whether it is me, my Gerakan colleagues, or even DAP politicians.
“It is my humble desire to serve (the people). Individuals do not count and do not matter,†he said.

Individual(US) do not matter? is that what he said?
yes, he said that and I agree with him. it is the greater good for the people and the country which matters most
And I agree with him about serving the public. Every politician should first think of the citizens who voted for him. That party-loyalty concept and self-serving attitude is too deep seated into our politicians’ mentality for too long. It’s high time for change.
his vision is one which will find easy acceptance in this after March 8th general election electorate.
And here’s what Raja Petra says about the state of our party politics.
