This week’s theme is self (yourself or part of you). This week I highlight my big tummy. My kid says I eat too much. It is a constant battle to keep my weight down. If I let my guard down I will balloon out to 90kg or more easily in a matter of weeks. And I feel hungry especially early in the morning. I once had high cholesterol and a heart scare.

There was no surgery involved but meeting the heart specialists, medical examinations etc were a real pain in the neck. Since then, I have been very careful to exercise a few times a week and keep my weight down,

But no matter how little I eat, my weight keeps increasing :( My wife jokes that it is a sign of prosperity. I have tried everything from swimming, aerobics, yoga, non-aggressive weight lifting and soon I might shift to tai-chi classes.

I once was a whopping 90kg and dropped to 55kg at one time and now back to 70kg. Maybe it is because almost all members of my maternal side of the family have over-weight problems and leave early. :)

Just in case you are wondering, I am not worried. As long as I keep on exercising, eat sensibly and not over-stress myself, I have nothing to worry about.

Have a great weekend every body. Thanks for dropping by. :)

I don’t see the tummy, but maybe it’s because I can’t see past my own.

I’m actually doing Weight Watchers and oddly am never really hungry. I find adding as much bulk in veggies and fruit to my meals help me to feel full.

Good luck with the working out, and great shot!!

i love to add vege n fruits but they dont taste as good as meat :)

  6. Heh heh…if you wanna see a big tummy, come by my place and show your kid that you don’t have a big tummy! *LOL*

Happy Hunting. This is a great shot, by the way!

I cannot see the huge tummy you were saying. Maybe you are just so self-conscious. Kidding. But exercising is the way to go for a healthier body. I have to tell that myself too.

  8. My husband constantly struggles with his weight as well–I too think it is genetics.

  9. Great shot but. Best to keep it off if you can, what with teh ehart scare. Have a happy weekend and enjoy your exercise.

Great picture!, you look fit and I guess you have nothing to worry about your figure. Just take control of what you eat because metabolism slows down as you age. Have a nice weekend.

    That’s a wonderful photo!

Be careful about limiting your food too much — if you’re exercising, you can eat a bit more. I don’t know all the technical details, but if you aren’t eating enough calories, your body goes into starvation mode and will hang onto everything you eat!

Hmm… it looked like both of us have the same problem.. haha. Too much good food I guessed. It would get even worst if you were to stay in Penang. :P

Check out my food blog and you will know why I can’t stay slim as I update it daily or alternate days :P

P/s: I hope you got my email regarding the FREE tickets to the Genting Magic Show.
