Of physiotheraphy, physiotherapist and a special place in heaven

I had to take the afternoon off to send a friend over for physiotherapy at the Sibu General Hospital. The car park was full and I had to go a few rounds. I didn’t mind. The hospital is actually a beautiful place.

We were instructed to go to the physiotherapy center. An unassuming little place. But the minute we entered the place, I could feel the brisk air of efficiency. It was well managed. Everything moved around like clockwork. The reception area was spotless, quiet and restful. The receptionist if she can be called that was most helpful and friendly.

Every body was busy in some way or other. The few staff I had occasion to observe doing their physiotherapy ‘thingy’ were most friendly and encouraging to the patients. I suppose it is necessary so as to be able to maintain a suitable level of rapport with the patients.

My friend commented that there must be a special place in heaven for people like those working in the physiotherapy unit , those working in the hospitals, clinics and all those involved in healing and caring for the sick. It requires much, much patience and self sacrifice.

I couldn’t agree with him more :)

Good morning MyLongkang. This morning the lady boss of a noodle eatery at the Kajang wet market charged me and the wife RM3.30 for a bowl of noodles. The same stuff cost RM3.00 before the petrol price hike last Wed. A rough calculation tells me that the hawker has hiked the price of her food by 10% percent over the old price.

When the price of fuel goes up inevitably the cost of all kinds of products and services will also surely rise in tandem. Instead of whining and sulking maybe it helps to accept the irreversible fact and just get on with life in the best way we can. So after finishing the meal we just paid the hawker and left.

If you consider that there are uncountable number of poor people in many poverty stricken nations of failed economies that are faring far worse than Malaysians, we can then see the big picture and better appreciate the situation as it is unfolding.

It is true, when u put it like that..perhaps it is best to face the reality and just move on :) Indeed we have much to be grateful for.

I too agree with you both. People caring for the sick selflessly deserve a special place in society, in our hearts and in heaven.

though in this line, sometimes one can run out of ideas too to keep up with educated and demanding strokees(stroek patients). That’s why I though more heads are better than one . So I seek ideas for play and games for the strokees. TQ
