Sibu-Selangau-Balingian long house
I went to a longhouse near Balingian today. Actually I went to three longhouses. The journey was a long one and tiring. When I think of KLites complaining of the LRT there and roads, I think they would change their minds when they see what is on offer here in the central region of Sarawak.
Anyway after an hour or so drving from Sibu, we ended up at Selangau where we had a simple meal
I saw my favorite : Walls ice-cream but decided against it as no body else had ice cream. Not even the kids. We all had Chinese tea instead.
From Selangau to the longhouse the journey was nothing spectacular but the bus journey itself was. It was a very bumpy road and torture all the way. You can see it from the video I have posted.
Our first stop was Rumah Siba where the folks were already waiting. The time was about 6.30 to 7.00 in the evening.
( to be continued )

nowadays they just don’t build longhouses like they did years ago; too modern nowadays
modern is comfortable
which is a good thing
That’s a real bumpy ride! If I ride in that bus, I think I’ll suffer from sore ass, headache and motion sickness. I don’t think pregnant women can ride on it! : )
Oh, btw, i changed my name to foongpc cos there’s another blogger by the name of Foong and I don’t want you to get confused in case she post a comment here.
it sure was bumpy… ok abt the foongpc thing

Although tiring, I think it is a worthwhile experience! Better than staying in the boring town!
it is like a form of massage. every bone n tendon in yr body will b badly shaken
