Borneo Cultural Festival 2008 - people pics
Friendly Sibu people
To Sibu people this festival which comes once a year is a time of opportunity. Of opportunity to earn a little pocket money, meet old friends or simply to have a place to bring family and loved ones to.
Looking for food long since forgotten but still remembered enough to tempt.
Nobody can be happier than a new father
What a lovely child he has and I told him so. This brought about the smile you see on the pic.
An art-critic-to-be looking pensively at some paintings. I would love to know what he is thinking.
Art critic says he would be embarrassed to be playing inside the inflatable thingy with the children. ” I am a big boy now,” he said.
Big-Boy-Now alias art-critic-to-be says, ” Daddy I want to have the candy floss. I promise I will brush my teeth clean-clean. This boy could be a politician instead of an art critic. He has already learned the art of campaign promises.
Balloons have never faded from the scene. They have just evolved with the times. No more the old oval shaped ones but multi shaped and multicolored ones now for the more demanding young generation. I was never this pampered. I didn’t even go for tuition. Come to think of it I never had any real pocket money until I was in Form 6.
The young generation today are a pampered lot

I agree children nowadays are so lucky. They get to go overseas holidays. I don’t remember going overseas when I was a child, the furthest only Singapore. As for tuition, I think children nowadays think this is torture, not pamper. Haha!
As for tuition, I think children nowadays think this is torture, not pamper -> interesting interesting hahahahahahah
