Of antivirus, trojan virus, spyware, ad-ware and credit card scam

My blogging has been erratic the past few days. My blog was suspended and later deactivated. The technical term is farking I believe. My credit card was used to make purchases to the tune of two hundred plus British pounds the exact figure I don’t really know yet.

What caused it all? Honestly, I don’t really know how it happened but I have since installed some antivirus software. Mylongkang too had its password changed by an unknown hand. My emails were compromised too. I have a few guesses although I do not know for certain.

I guess looking back I was an easy candidate for viruses, trojans etc. Blogger friends, are you adequately protected? Anyway mylongkang is now back online thanks to pikey, will and my good friend and guest blogger Flyfisher

    Hi Bengbeng,

    I am very sorry and feel for you about your great loss.That is a substantial amount of cash . There is always the risk and fear of such incidents happening when you do online transactions.

    There is no use reporting to the police as they will not be much help. I hope that bank will waive those losses as your card was scammed.

    Thanks! The credit card company has oledi promised to try to reimburse the funds paid ut as they r now aware of the situatin. They r sending me a new card

    What a horrible thing to happen. I’m not sure my blog is protected but then I’m only a peanut blogger unlike u ;)

    It is good to hear that the bank will waive those charges and those money will surely come in handy during this period where everything is going up .

    Better to be safe than sorry.

    It could be probably a Trojan horse which stole your CC details . It is risky downloading softwares from the internet.
