Do ghosts and the paranormal exist?
A guy once told me we live in a parallel dimension to the other world. The other world is not aware of us nor are we aware of them unless there is a connection. Yet we live side by side so he said. The milion dollar question is,”Do ghosts and the paranormal exist?”
It is a fact we all move on after our alloted time on earth. How about the animal kingdom? If they all leave some trace on earth after their departure, this world would be a most crowded place, don’t you think?
Thus it was with pleasure I was with a company of legal minds last night. One of them said that based on his experiences, it was just plain hallucination. He mentioned something about stress and tiredness. All attempts to discuss the matter further was futile. 
He had made up his mind. I hesitated to remind him that his mind was only one mind out of the billions on earth. In the end, I kept silent to stop the verbal offensive.
Some people do in fact believe in ghosts and the paranormal. He looked at me like I was the world’s biggest wacko for even considering the fact that ghosts do in fact exist.
For the record, I would like to state that it is my personal belief they do exist. I have no ready answers for something that cannot be explained scientifically. Is it superstition? Some body out there might propose a theory that human beings need to formulate a theory for what it doesn’t know i.e. what happens after the demise of a person. Some might even consider the existence of ghosts as a source of comfort to those loved ones left behind.
I will face brick-bats from the netizens but I do believe somehow they exist. How can they not exist when all major religions talk of an after life? I am a totally normal, sane guy but to me they exist because I have experienced them personally. Perhaps if we experience them once or twice, then it can be a hallucination but what if they become part and parcel of life after many experiences?
Another might question why I should experience these paranormal stuff when others don’t. Again I have no ready answer. All I can say it has been with me for decades which is a long time. I have long lost my fear of them except for exceptional circumstances.
So to him ( the legal mind ) and all similar minded persons, I declare that you are entitled to your opinions as I am entitled to mine.
I share with you a personal experience to say that if it was a hallucination, it was mass hallucination. It is but one of many similar experiences I have experienced through the decades.
I got to agree with you that they somehow do exist. I do not wish to experience…i always search over the net regarding all the paranormal stories and ive read a lot of books about it. It’s something that we can’t say no…

My mum died when I was 10. I remember one incident when I was a kid and I recall seeing her sitting on the floor ironing clothes. She always used to sit on the floor to iron our clothing. When I saw her at the time, I knew that she had passed on and so I was surprised to see her but she just sat there ironing earnestly. It seemed so real. Until today, I still don’t know whether it was a dream or I actually saw her.
this is uncanny just like our recurrent seeing her at the sink washing dishes
This might sound strange but I happen to think that nothing in this world is ‘real’. If you tried explaining the Mona Lisa to a blind person or Mozart to the deaf, you’ll understand that reality, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Some animals have a different sensory range than humans. They see, hear and feel things we cannot, making their ‘reality’ different than ours. It affirms that many realities exist side by side as we speak. Its silly for any single species to claim that its perception of reality is the only authoritative version there is, as we humans like to do.

yes they do exist.. in imagination land… ha ha… however… i would wish to know.. to all who believe that this real… do they believe that ghost have the tendency to kill?
tendency to kill is HK movies. there are references to the devil and spirits all over the bible. u can’t accept one aspect of the book and reject another side of it.

I havent seen an alien or a ufo though
I believe they exist but I do not want to have the gift that you have. I only have had one experience with the unseen but whether it was real or not I cannot confirm, only that I had goosebumps all over and I felt my spine go cold and had to say a prayer before returning to normal. My sister has experienced a few encounters at her work place and also places where she stayed before. When I have time I’ll probably post the story. In the meantime, I rather read and watch this paranomal activity instead of experience it!

There are always believers and non-believers. Those who have not experienced paranormal activities normally do not believe (although some do) while those who did are staunch believers. I cannot say for sure ghosts exist because so far there’s no documented proof. But through my own experience and the collective experiences of others, I will say that something unexplained certainly exists. They are there if you care to “feel” them. Those who have the gift can certainly see them. But are they ghosts? Maybe they are, maybe they are not. And if they are not, what are they? Who knows? Maybe one day science will have the answer. But I know it won’t be soon.

I do belief paranormals do exist but do not wish do have any encounters with ‘them’.
i believe nobody wishes to have encounters with them although I had a good fren who paid a lot of money to stay in an expensive supposedly expensive haunted lodging house just for the experience. he saw nothing
A friend of mine opined that one has to be very low in luck to see a ghost. On the other hand the ghost is equally low in luck to be seen by a human… heheh… they must be two of the same.
I have never seen ghosts, so it is difficult for me to believe, but definitely there is some kind of force which is usually negative. Our tired and worried mind gives it a form and mostly the form is of the person who departed recently or whom you tend to miss.
Beyond this I have to see to believe and explain.

i believe their presence cuz i saw them when i just about 10 years old. i still cannot forget the incident–first time i see a ghost. actually, i didn’t see it but i saw a pair of red chopsticks moving by itself at night. n sometimes i see them… a little bit scared…
