Julau market and town scenes

cam whoring

I learned a lot from victor about taking pics. You could consider this post a pictorial essay about Julau.

river boatiban river boat

The river is an important means of transport.

Market scenes

snake meatikan puyu

We saw snake meat and other wild meat for sale. I was surprised to see ikan puyu for sale too.

street sceneriver side

Reading a newspaper while waiting for a boat to go home just like we wait for a bus or taxi. People whiling their time away enjoying the hustle and bustle of town life.

p.o. box

As their homes are far from town, the post box service provides an essential service for people living in the rural areas.

gardening onion

Not much space is wasted. Even nooks and corners in Julau town are used for gardening.

tricycle

The owner of this motorcycle is creative. By attaching a cart to his motorcycle, the bike is converted to a tricycle which can carry goods for commercial purposes.

I wonder why were you surprised to see ikan puyu for sales. I would be more shocked to see snake meat for sales. He he…That bike with cart should be imported from china and could cost 2-3 times normal price of motorbike.

victor noticed the bike first. i dont know the purpose of the ikan puyu? can it be eaten? it is so small
