Julau with victor-kiu.blogspot.com
My weekend photographic trip with victor went well. There were others invited but some how or other it didn’t work out so Victor decided to drive us wherever our fancy took us. Being guys in charge of a vehicle and reluctant to ask for directions trying to act macho
we got lost and ended up in Julau first. It has been a long time since i went to Julau.
We parked our car in front of a church. Obviously there was no need for parking coupons etc. In fact i think I didn’t see a single traffic light in the whole town.
Being a Sunday morning, the town was busy. Everything was very colourful. What you see hanging are the plastic containers meant to feed chickens with water.
While young Victor was busy shopping, I looked at him and knew I had the responsibility to take care of him until at least we reached Sibu town safely. It is the Lion’s duty to always protect the Leos. But he was very considerate and polite all the way.
I have known Victor since we went to take pics at a longhouse near the Lanang Bridge when together we welcomed guests from Taiwan.
We decided to have breakfast. As luck would have it, it was a vegetarian shop. However it was well patronized by the town folks. I looked in amazement at a magic bottle being passed from table to table almost all the time. Could it be some kind of alcoholic beverage?
Anyway, soon it arrived at our table. It contained home-made chilly sauce. They have dispensed with the small saucers we use to serve chilli sauce. This way, no chilli sauce is wasted either.
To be continued……………..
