The evening started well. I saw a rainbow at Lanang Road.

45 day progress report
I have been on a self devised fitness program since July 5th this year. ( 45 days already ) Getting fit is easier said than done
Sometimes I feel I want to give up. There is the time consideration, the expense and of course finding the energy to go through all these work out routines a few times a week.

Photohunters : Pic of lady body builder and wrinkles
08.23
The theme for this week is wrinkles. One look at my entry for this week, and you may wonder what has this pic got to do with this theme, wrinkles
If you look closely, this is a poster of a lady body builder. I assume. It is about at least 17 years old and the poster is full of wrinkles. This good lady wherever she may be must be sporting some wrinkles too some where out there in this big wide world unless she has found a fountain of youth somewhere.
All these years, the gym has used this poster to motivate its lady members to work out harder. The male members too tend to look at the poster as some visual candy on a wall. Day in day out she has stood on a wall while the original model has long forgotten the photo shoot. The poster too has wrinkles like a real person has wrinkles.
Food for thought : don’t you think it would be nice if we could slow down the ravages of the times at least a little and look young for as long as we can

My not so romantic night out
08.21
Sometimes in life we can plan but what happens is beyond our control
I spent a lot of time at the gym today and felt ravenously hungry. So I decided to take Mrs BB and Benghui for a romantic evening out. I drove over to a place opposite Li Hua Hotel which is supposed to be famous for its chicken cooked in bamboo ( pansuh ayam ). One look at some men smoking next to the only available table and Mrs BB suggested we go elsewhere. Dutifully, Benghui piped in that the table was next to the road and dangerous. ![]()

Ho Yan Hor and school holidays activities
08.20
Used to be the school holidays was a very difficult time for us. Benghui always needed attention. In fact yesterday, I blogged about how I thought he had ulterior motives for being a good boy. I just didn’t notice him growing up.
Reading, buttering me up and Benghui’s ulterior motives.

Benghui asked me how I was and I immediately said, “Fine” with raised eyebrows. I then looked at him suspiciously. He then made a cup of tea for me. He then proceeded to read two books for me, Awang Kerdil, and Jack and the Beanstalk. He could have read me a Chinese book but he probably thought I had lost interest already. He has been reading an average of three story books a day. I prefer him to be helping around the house or something. He reads a Chinese book, a Malay book and an English book daily.

Do ghosts and the paranormal exist?
08.19
A guy once told me we live in a parallel dimension to the other world. The other world is not aware of us nor are we aware of them unless there is a connection. Yet we live side by side so he said. The milion dollar question is,”Do ghosts and the paranormal exist?”

Pigeons, interesting characters and govt pays me Rm775.00 to help me face the high fuel prices

Mrs BB woke me up early this morning and told me to take over. “I am busy today until 10.00. The school holidays have already started so you have to take care of Benghui until I come home.” This effectively meant I wouldn’t be able to go to the office until at least 10.30.

Fear of the dark is natural?

At first I thought there were unwashed socks under the sofa or something
Did you smell the pong at my blog yesterday? It was the end of the world for Benghui. The house was quite, very quiet. His heart was broken. He had not been selected to take part in a wushu performance. No amount of diversion worked. He had failed.
