Sigh. I really cannot turn the tide. My fish are all slowly turning white. I haven’t changed the fish food. Everything remains the same. I wonder what is causing them to lose their color? Any feedback?

Dude, sometime fishes need lights … like sunlight or the indoors light for aquarium… i’m not 100% sure but if not mistaken if they don’t expose to lights … their body color will fade.
that could b the answer. recently the lights stopped working. thanks
walao! changed from red to white?!
trying to fix it though
It could be the water’s pH.
ok thanks!
Hi, agreed, lack of light could be the answer. My parrot fishes survived many years with the bright red colour. Had a scare too once with their colour but solved when we installed brighter lights. A type of fish food (ard rm12 per bottle) could enhance their colour too. I think it worked coz their colour was wonderful.
Cheers!
p/s thanks for leavin a comment. The godfather thingy, hmm nothing special, just a chat btw KeenYee and me earlier as he couldnt meet up on Sat.
i didnt realize they can survive many yrs. i will try to install the lights soon
If I am not wrong, you can buythe pH meter from the fish’s shop. I saw my brother always keeping track of his aquarium’s pH water. There is one type of fish food like Anton’s said can enhance the red color of your fish. Hubby used to buy the one by the Chinese name of ‘Bao Zhen Hong’, something like that. A lot of immitation packaging that looks alike but the original one can be very expensive. A small bottle can sell around RM30. But the color of your fish will be very beautiful. Hubby, the stingy one always feeds his fishes with a little bit of the food and claims that it will have less ‘shit’ from the fish and can maintain the cleanliness of the water and pH.
yr hubby is correct. anything tat expensive has to b good otherwise nobody else will buy
its natural lah..just like them be or you caould just paint them redder!
aiya why didn’t i think of iCI paint?
