Today I am in a questioning mood. What am I doing on this earth plodding on in the futile search for meaning in life? Why do I bother to think so much? Perhaps I should stop thinking. Just put my thoughts on safe mode, refuse to hate myself and go through the motions of ‘living’

As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery.
We have learned that the key to happiness is inner peace.
The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as
anger and attachment, fear and suspicion,
while love and compassion, a sense of universal responsibility
are the sources of peace and happiness.

This video link of aliens from the deep from Lifeleak occasionally doesn’t seem to work. Apologies. If it doesn’t work, you can try this link
The Bible : Mathew:
6:25 So I say to you, Take no thought for your life, about food or drink, or about clothing for your body. Is not life more than food, and the body more than its clothing?
6:26 See the birds of heaven; they do not put seeds in the earth, they do not get in grain, or put it in store-houses; and your Father in heaven gives them food. Are you not of much more value than they?
6:27 And which of you by taking thought is able to make himself a cubit taller?
6:28 And why are you troubled about clothing? See the flowers of the field, how they come up; they do no work, they make no thread:
6:29 But I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.
Interesting post which gives us much to think about!!!
I think you think too much. Why are you searching for the meaning of life? You have come to this world to create what you wanted to experience. There’s nothing to learn or search. There’s only to create and to experience. If only you remember what you wanted before you came into this world, then you would stop searching for the meaning of life. Read this book Conversations With God. It’s a great inspiring book! : )
I will look up the link
I think it’s perfectly fine and healthy to question abt our origins. Once you have found which ever answer that suits your most inquisitive mind and fulfil your faculty of thoughts & reasoning, the next thing is what can I do with my life?
Often times we are triggered by something or by some events that made us to do some soul searching though, I do hope you will be fine at the end of the week. Take care!
hi bengbeng, u r in a contemplative mood in this post. we all have at one time or another wondered what life is about. Foongpc says dont think so much, but if that is what u wish to create so be it. I too would second what foongpc said about ‘conversation with god’. It is an inspiring book and may well give u the answer u r looking for. but maybe you dont want an answer. It is a lot of fun finding out the answer to life’s meaning, and so many would prefer not to have the answer or it will curtail the fun.The scintillating beauty of the creatures in that film, aliens of the deep is all the more strange because the light they give out can only be seen by us humans when we shine a light on them. Normally, the deep has no light and so the creatures themselves do not see themselves like we see them. Our eyes have colour rods and so much of what we see is invisible to other creatures. It may be if we can see it, we too scintillate like that but to other eyes. Some people say they can see auras surrounding people.Perhaps it is true that we all have an aura that some people can see. who knows right? there is a lot to life than we can see or imagine. The fun is discovering it for ourselves and to marvel. So have fun finding out about life.
