It's good that you've found brownie safe and sound. I've had puppies when I was young and they are rascals on their own. And I've lost one or two to cars so he is VERY lucky especially how "CLEVER" some of our Sibu drivers are.

As for your friend, he is entitled to his opinion although it is quite one sided as I do not think all bloggers are liars, maybe wild though.. haha. However, I am truly impressed that you can keep calm and take the comments in a unbiased way, which most people in your situation would have probably ended up in and argument. Kudos to you BB.

What would be the point of getting hot over it? :)

Our dog, George, has been a nightmare as regards escaping! He was very determined and climbed and burrowed and got out no matter what we did. All the neighbours know him! Now we have blocked all his exits and he finally sems to have settled down (he's 21 months now!)

I will b happy when Brownie settles down. VERY happy :)

He just stereotyping without even checking what is right or wrong. He is like 6 blind men and an elephant. Describing something with just partial knowledge.

Corruption occurs in every country, yes that happened. So does crimes like robbing and murdering. Every country have laws to punish those who rob, those who murders and also those who corrupts. They are all the same, criminals. What makes corruption so tolerable? Does he tolerate with murderers and robbers too?

Ask him if he were to hire someone to do a job for him and that person did not do a good job, as a boss, would he complained and fired that guy?

The same goes to the government, they are our worker. We "hire" them through general election and we "pay" them using our tax money. So basically we the citizen are their boss. If the boss are not happy with the work quality of the worker, then a boss gotta do what a boss gotta do by getting a better worker!

Every human are bound to err and could give in to their evil thought, whether they are a leader of a great nation or just a toilet cleaner.

Wow, this is quite a lengthy comment and quite a good read. This comment entitles u to a free supper anytime. Just sms or give me a call :)

So cute la Brownie. He looks so guilty haha.

As for your friend, it is perfectly alright for him to have his point of view. That is his right.

Maybe he just needs to be exposed to both sides of the story, because he sounds quite one sided. Labeling bloggers as jokes and liars are a bit unfair.

I know I can be a joker, but I'm no joke and no liar! Liar (wild) maybe la

Sometimes people become fixed in their thinking. I am also a little wild i think :)

Good thing is, Brownie's found. I'm real happy about that. :D

Another thing is, I live my life as I want to and I don't care what others think about me or about society. What matters is what I think :D

That is very matured of u

Glad Brownie was found again. Would of be upsetting if little brown gone missing.

This person you met have his reasons for what he does.. and does everyone else. Regards of whether each and every individual is willing to voice their rights to the government or question what they do is up to every individual. Some may see that the government can improve in their point of view, some just thinks "oh hell. none of my business as long as I got job, can feed my family ok lah"

We parted amiably :)

Different people, different point of view.

I believe the gist of what your friend means is "so long I have my rice bowl and you have yours, let's not disturb each other in how we do business...we work along side each other"...you don't kacau me and neither do I kacau you kind of thing. Which is sad really....

I think u summarized it well

Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Poor thing – poor man, I mean. This friend of yours is lost, like that puppy.

There is a difference between “Government” and the “ruling party”. We have to be loyal to the Government – give unto Ceasar what is Ceasar’s etc etc. But we don’t have to be loyal to the party that is managing the Government for the next 4 or 5 years. The party that manages the Government can change. It is like the school cafetaria. You can change the caterer yearly, but keep the cafeteria running. Dishonest politicians try to hoodwink innocent people into thinking that the ruling party and the Government are one and the same thing. They are not. Another way of looking at it: The Govenment is the chair. The party is the backside that sits on the chair. That can change and another backside will sit on the chair.

The other thing is transparency. Good, honest government should always be transparent, with very few exceptions e.g. national security. Government is “of the people, by the people, and for the people”. That means you and I (ordinary people) can form a government made up “of the people”. To do that, we have to be elected “by the people”. And if elected, we work “for the people”. No one has a God-given right to rule. (“He said citizens of a country shouldn’t bother about its government. Citizens should concentrate on the business of living and leave the governing to the government.) One of the last persons with a mandate to rule from heaven … well we know what happened to that person.

This poor soul, your friend who’s lost like your puppy, needs to go back to school to understand democracy. Hellooo … this is 2009. Not 1009.

There, I’ve said my piece. Politely, I hope.

Thanks for the opportunity.

Thank you so much for sharing your views on this matter. Thank you too for dropping by. I have bookmarked your blog so I can visit it from time to time. I hope u dont mind.

i dont agree with what ur fren has in mind. if a corrupted minister simply takes all the money for his own entertainment wise, how could we just look and let him do as he wish. that's our money and we dont pay them to have fun. if voting other than government is disloyal and wasting nation's money, then how does being pro-gov help to eradicate the people who misuse our money? our lives are hard enough with these people and if we do nothing, we will live harder lives... that's it

Jino, thanks for your viewpoint. I think a lot of people just dont want to get involved in anything as long as their livelihood is not affected directly.
