Continuing with my series on bodybuilding, it is important to acknowledge the importance of discipline, supplements, right nutrition and correct training.

There is no short cut. We all have the potential to be healthy individuals and not having a big pouch instead of abdominal muscles, and always slouching in front of the telly everyday. WE all need to exercise.

We all need to eat. But eat what is right and not overeat. Fats will eventually turn into high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes among others one day.

Today I am sharing with you some of the pics from my archives. Of course to maintain a healthy body requires lots of discipline. Bodybuilding is the cheapest form of medical insurance. Unleash the healthy person in you.

I do not believe in unnecessary supplements, injections and all that stuff. I am traditional in the sense I only buy products from well established companies and only take protein shakes. Eggs are a good source of proteins. Whey protein is also recommended for its efficiency.

Set up a training program and follow it! Don’t cheat on the momentum. Perform all the pulling and pushing routines with the correct form. Right breathing techniques are important for efficient muscle building.

I have stopped competitive bodybuilding but the good habits and health still remain.

When posing under harsh lights, the muscles are not seen as clearly defined without some oil. Once I bought some cheap medium shade brown lipstick :) from the night market and colored my body for a competition. Fair unoiled bodies look washed out under harsh lights.

    true. i too as much as possible manage my diet though most of the time i deprive from it. hehehe… i want a body just fit not so masculine.

    wow, didn’t know bengbeng is a bodybuilder!! muscular man~~ i’m not going into that extreme, as long as i can be lean and not as FAT as i am now, i would be very happy already.. :p

  5. Very hard for me to put on weight no matter how much food I take….supplements also cannot work….but then good for a foodie like me….LOL!

    Sorry if my question sounded silly, but this had been in my mind for quite some time, hehe… just wondering the “undeerwear” the bodybuilders wear on stage, are those specifically for bodybuilders or can be substitute with swimwear?
