Do you talk to strangers

I was swimming when I met two ladies. As I didn’t know them, I ignored them but soon one of them interrupted me a few times but as it was unlikely they were talking to me, I continued with my lazy crawl. Then she came over to ask me to teach them how to swim. I asked my friend who was there to teach them but they insisted I teach them instead.

Both of them were in swimsuits modest but yet not often seen around Sibu pools. I was embarrassed by the flesh exposed but wanting to be polite taught them a few basic skills in free style swimming.

Believe me, it is not normal for an Ah Pek like me to be approached by strangers especially in their swimsuits. It wasn’t easy for me as I wasn’t familiar with their ‘accent’. Perhaps they felt safe with an Ah Pek like me. The time passed easily enough although I became the butt of jokes from my friends after that.

One of the ladies joked about how easy it is for ladies to come to Malaysia to find employment. It was an innocent remark I suppose but I felt uneasy. I looked around and saw that they were not alone but had company. I beat a hasty retreat. :)

Guys, what would you have done in my shoes. But I wasn’t wearing any shoes. Perhaps I should ask, what would you have done in my position?

The pics are for deco purposes only. The ladies in the pic are foreign tourism beauty queens who were in Sibu some time ago for the beauty pageant.

Not sure what the ladies were up to since I don’t know the customs in your country.
    I can only imagine.

    Dear Bengbeng
Ladies who are out to seduce are everywhere. Just different ways of getting into your (even Ah Pek if you say so) wallet!

Nowadays men I must say are quite easy.

Only your personal values and God will stand between you and Bathshebas.

Some men would consider it good luck….

    Smile…Just cannot help but comment…

They maybe up to no good… but yet they maybe just really wanted to learn how to swim and seem you look trust worthy enough not to end up molesting them.

But precaution is always the best. If I was in your position, I would just ask them why they chose me :P .

    You know what?

I have been living in a foreign country long enough to understand that foreigners are like that! They like to make small talk. Do not overthink it.

I mean you know, think the best in people instead of the worst. =)

I thought those lovely ladies are the one you taught. Haha. Foreigners tends to be friendly in another country, that’s normal. It’s just that local culture are different. If in KL, I am sure a lot of buaya will be around. Haha. Take care BB
