There used to be more than one channel in Sibu to help young people like this boy and his mother – Ling Chu Ming School and Pilley School and other private schools and night school run by the SUDC. Many had more than successful lives after these schools.
SPM is really the gateway to a steady life and higher education.

I feel very sorry for the mother. But not all is lost if the society at large and the family in particular can help the son go through these difficult times. He too needs counselling and a lot of love.

May he find an angel to help him find the right path.

I agree with you Bengbeng. It’s too late. Sometimes giving the best opportunities to a kid is not enough. Putting him/her on the right track in life starts from day one, age one.

As a mom, I know the despair this mother’s must have felt . Is anywhere she can sent the boy to? someone to counsel him and get him in the right track.

Sometimes youngsters really go astray no matter how close you supervise them. Parents should have a closer look at their kid’s peers because they are the one who greatly influence each other.

i think it is important for parents to know the friends their kids are mixing with. teenagers are at that age where peer pressure and influence are stronger than family. i think there needs to be a mix of both.

he can retake SPM next yr since he skipped many paper. if he skipped BM paper as well (means gt fail), he can retake the SPM next yr
