Enjoying Sebangkoi waterfalls

It was blazing hot when we left Jakar. So the idea of a dip in an ice cold mountain stream was tempting. We stopped at Sebangkoi to look for the waterfall. Unfortunately we got a ‘little’ lost and sidetracked.

Just following the river wasn’t practical with all the equipment and also the cameras we were carrying.

We walked up and down small hills.

Nobody wanted to ask for directions. Not the macho thingy to do. So we just walked aimlessly. I suppose everybody was waiting for somebody else to ask for directions but not be the actual person who asks :)

It wasn’t warm but we were sweating buckets in the jungle. Perhaps it was the humidity.

I think we were lost. Anyway I backtracked without a word and the others just sort of followed. Relieved, probably :)

Soon after that we could hear the sound of rushing water. We stripped to the basic essentials and then jumped into the water.

Wish you all were here with us. From where we were, it was difficult to descend with all our stuff. So we left our stuff with a guy who wasn’t able to join us in the water. It was lovely. Don’t believe me? A look at the pic will convince you :)

Oh yes, one more thing. My rambutan dropped. To my surprise, small fish looking like tiger barbs soon appeared to feast on the rambutan.

A bonus for readers today :)
