Lubok Antu is a district in Sri Aman Division in the state of Sarawak, Malaysia. It borders with Indonesia (Badau). The people here are predominantly Ibans. Most of the economical activities here are farming (shift cultivation).

Fort Lily was built in 1885 just after Saribas was transferred to Brooke rule. The original two-tier roof was replaced with thatch. The wood shingle roof is of a later date. During the turbulent days of skirmishes by Rentap, this fort saw quite a bit of action. It later later served as a police station and a government office.

Borneo Falcon wanted very much to visit Rentap’s Fortress. Rentap or Libau (died 1863) was a famous Dayak (Iban) warrior in Sarawak.

After Bukit Saban we proceeded to the Betong Rest-Stop for some breakfast. I like rest-stops like this along the highway. It gives me a chance to stretch my legs and generally just recover from driving fatigue. On this trip however I had the opportunity to sit on the front passenger seat.

After that we took a stroll around Saratok. It was bigger than we had expected. I came across this cute boy. He loved being photographed and I loved photographing him, His mother was pleased to have us photograph him.
