Tolerance is important. REligion is a personal relationship with God.

The practice of one's religion also affects one's relationship with fellowmen. Hence it is even more important to love others as ourselves.

Anyway, I didn’t convert to Christianity, not because they’re not better, but because I found that they’re preaching the same basic principles and worshipping someone greater than themselves by singing songs and burning candles. We’re doing that too, only our tunes and lyrics are different.>>> nice realization. because in the end it’s not religion that will save us eternally, but who we are to our creator.

An elderly german lady once asked HH The Dalai Lama how she could convert to Buddhism since she had been a Christian for over 50 years of her life. His Holiness requested for her to remain true to her religion and not confuse herself. His reply was that the main practise that one should hv is to learn and practise compassion (karuna) and loving kindness (metta), whichever religion he/she is in.

p/s: You may wanna obtain writeups in good written-english on Buddhism via http://www.fpmt.org. It is so true that many buddhist teachings are lost in translation to the english language. The 1959 incident was good as many Lamas left Tibet and were able to travel around the world to spread dharma in various languages. :)

I see. I am a strong Christian and I enjoy reading this post because you open my eyes to see the perspective of non-Christians towards Christianity.

Thanks for sharing.
