Remembering John Lennon: Give Peace a Chance

I can still the remember hearing on the radio of the death of John Lennon. John Lennon was one of the founders of The Beatles. He later branched out solo.

Many remember his wildly celebrated or reviled slogan depending on which side of the divide you were on: Give Peace a Chance

He was also a political activist. His widow is Yoko Ono. I suppose I can liken his death to the death of Michael Jackson for his death touched many of his fans. Later there were echoes of this same outpouring of grief when Princess Diana passed away in a tragic road accident

Mark David Chapman shot him at the entrance of the building where he lived, The Dakota, on Monday, 8 December 1980.

Lennon was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.

He was cremated on 10 December 1980 and the ashes given to Ono who chose not to hold a funeral for him.

Our hearts go out to Yoko Ono on this 29th anniversary. God bless you

    He is legend.

I love his songs. I the Beatles’ song too. Sadly he was killed… and a lot of things pointed to Yoko Ono as the murderer… weirdly :/

Sorry your adventure trip fail through.

May be you can go to MULU, go stay in the other camp, climb the Pinnacles and do rock climbing.

I went with my 13 yr old son, he was too young to do rock climbing. So we just did the caves.

Sad that John Lennon died so young.

  10. If Lennon did not meet Ono, what would happen?!
Hmm… I am trying to figure this out in their parallel world.

I was in primary school when the Beatles hit the airwaves with hits like “A hard day’s night”, “I should have known better”, “Help!” etc…

The guy who turned them down with the remark, “Guitar music is on the way out…” must have been totally dumbfounded when fans went crazy about them.
