Omitofo. I am Ah Tuong.

As surely as the cord
within my mother’s womb.
Let me press against
your creviced hardened skin,
assimilate your strength.
Let me climb into the crook
of your wide expansive arms.

Let me rest there
as you rock me,
while gently pulsing breezes
caress your skin
and mine.
Let us soak the sun together
in our time

A word from me. Be weary where you tread lest you tread on our fellow creatures on this earth. A life is still a life

This is a great post.
I love the poem…..Just right up my alley as the saying goes…
Wonder how long will this awareness take to internalise and then conscientise our people….
(small smile)
thank you.
It will be great if this poem can inspire /influence many people around the world to hug a tree and love the environment. A tree can live for a long long time on earth, hence imagine how many lives it can touch and/or seen how many lifetimes pass by. Do you belief that there a tree has a spirit?
hug atree, embrace nature =)
the tree body so fat..hehe
A smile from SJ =)
this reminded me of my trip up north. i didnt hug a tree…. but i did hug a windmill.
that is one big tree
Before you do that, check that there are no scorpions hiding behind any loose bark. Be friendly with nature, but be careful as well, as nature is untamed, wild and free.
Ah Tuong, you need more hands to hug that big tree, let hug it together..
