i am on leave. Amazing that I have been looking forward to this leave but all I get is my nagging Benghui to study and study and study. Nothing to blog today. Just share pics taken when Ah Tuong and I went to town. Feels good to have somebody photohunting with me.

We have passed this Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum lots of times but decided to stop over just this once.

From ah tuong

The late Lau King Howe, a Christian arrived from Foochow, Fukien in China in 1916. His purpose was to manage a rubber plantation..

Before returning to China in 1930, he decided to donate all his properties to the then colonial government to set up the town’s first modern hospital.

From ah tuong

The hospital was completed in the year 1936. The cost was a princely RM 82,000. That was a big sum in those days. The hospital was named after him.

Can you see Ah Tuong at the end of the line? I think the medical profession would suit him just fine. He has the heart.

From ah tuong

Photography is allowed.

From ah tuong

There was a big storm that day and one of the Christmas trees behind Wisma Sanyan was toppled by strong winds.

I almost forgot. We went to the ICT fair after that. Big Spender Ah Tuong and Big Spender Bengbeng spent a total of RM13.00 at the fair. It is not that there was notihng to buy. Just that there was little in our pockets :)

Environmentally conscious Ah Tuong liked this. Recycling. Just look at the response from the people of Sibu.

Hello Bengbeng, how are you? I haven’t visited your blogs for quite a while.

I see some distortion to the photos of the nurses and at the ICT. Are they because of some sort of camera tricks?

    i use photoshop cs
