I saw this when I was surfing the net yesterday. An insurance agent was recounting her ordeal in the country.
I think her main problem is that she is female and she is from China. On the other hand hand, we don’t expect Caucasians tourists to be treated like her in this country. A few issues have been raised in this press conference. Let us hope we learn from this woman’s experience. We need the tourism $$$$$. All the millions spent in promoting our country overseas negated by isolated incidents like this.
Another video which caught my attention. DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz on the same side of the fence on the same issue.
Let us move on. Cast aside racism for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
On this day in 2006-Wat Lampan chief monk and deputy attacked for RM300.00:
On this day in 2007-Why I hate buying gifts..in reply to Lillian and all the women out there
On this day in 2008-The Hutton Lodge, Penang and Penang food:
this is so memalukan Malaysia Boleh!!! hahhaha
Hypocrites… bigots… biasalah.
Racism exists within the hearts of men. Not merely what is seen, heard or done on the outside.
This is sad indeed!
walao eh, uber memalukan lor! mempersiasuikan malaysia saja D:
i don’t think that racism is innate in every human. many of us have walked out of the race stereotyping, and that proves it’s not impossible. it’s up to the so-called authorities to adapt it as well.
I believe this is not a race issue. Rather, every time they ‘catch’ a Chinese lady they think she’s another ‘China Doll’. Between the mata2 and the immigration, there’s lot of $$$ to be made. One would get paid and throw her to the other dept. Then the other would get more $$$ out of her and put her on a plane. They’d do the same whether she’s a Russian, Thai, Romanian, etc. The issue is corruption, not racism. The NGOs have lots of these stories to tell.
Oh racism…it will never cease..
