The next place we went to was Pusa. Why did we go there? Our purpose was to look for Dayang Isah Tandang Sari Tomb.( makam )

From Pusa

Welcome to Pusa

From Pusa

It was durian season

From Pusa

This lady chatted with us. She is very kind.

From Pusa

The pace of life was slow. Nobody seemed to be in a hurry.

From Pusa

We bought two durians from him for a grand total of only RM10.00. One wasn’t quite ripe so he replaced it with another for no exra charge. He told us his durians were delicious because they were from Kabung.

From Pusa

The weather was downcast so we hoped to cover as much ground as possible before it started to rain.

From Pusa

Another durian pic. How to avoid durians? Durians were everywhere.

From Pusa

Paid 20 sen to use the public toilet. There are these recycled plastic bottles at every urinal for washing purposes after the act.

From Pusa

More water on stand-by.

From Pusa

I forgot what it was we chatted about but I remember they were very informative and welcoming.

From Pusa

There was a road leading downhill. In fact the road itself was a very happening place.

From Pusa

We followed the local villagers and ended up at a small jetty. Adult passengers would pay 50 sen each to travel to the other side, Kampung Pusa while little children would be charged 30 sen.

With Falcon by my side, I felt more adventurous and decided to follow the villagers over to the other side.. To be continued……………….

Definitely a slow paced town by the look of it….

but people have started to own the “iron horse carriage” (cars)…and I like the three wheeler next to the four wheelers photo….

I love the yellow gas cycliners….water is so kopi C colour…Never been to Pusa myself.

What is Pusa? Was it the name of the fish? :) A slow “life” there.

Very interesting. I’m Filipino, and in our language the word “pusa” means cat. The word being associated with fish is intriguing to me.

  7. cako says:

nick: yes it is… pusa also means cat here… yet Pusa have plenty of Ikan Terubuk in their river… ^^

Didnt have a chance to try the ikan terubuk but i enjoyed the durians there
