When I was young, Chinese New Year was not just an occasion. It was the occasion. We looked forward to it . It was the only time we ate and ate until like a goldfish our tummies would expand until it could expand no more. Then aping the ways of the elders, the children would gather in small groups and play card games. Money was everything, even then. I loved to play mahjong. I played mahjong since I was seven years old. I seriously believe it helped with my learning of Mathematics as a student.
