There was a carnival like atmosphere.

Families came from near and far to witness this spectacular event.

Balloons were a hit with the children.

When I arrived, the weather was super duper hot. The sun shone mercilessly.

I was fortunate enough to make friends with a couple who let me in with my camera. This guy carried an umbrella to protect his wife from the sun. His umbrella gave me valuable shelter from the sun. :)

His air bandung priced at RM1.00 per glass helped cool me down.

The crowds were everywhere even at the most awkward places.

These folks were lucky. They just had to step out of their house.

The ferry was still in operation.

These are some of the pics of the boats I took.

It did rain for a while.

The crowds did not disperse. Some took shelter here and there and some continued watching the races with the aid of umbrella.
