Celcom broadband service think twice first, Aquarium air pump and sea satellite

Look at my new toy. I have been wanting this sea satellite, an aquarium satellite for ages but it is an old aquarium accessory. When I found it at the aquarium shop near the civic centre, I snapped it up immediately.

I opted for the medium sized pump.

However after a few initial curious looks from the fish, my Taiwan red parrots lost interest.

I need to buy some new shoes.

This is Brownie’s corner. It comes here when it realizes it has done something wrong.

Something snapped in Brownie during the Chinese New Year celebrations. Unlike my other dogs which used to hide at the back of my house when there were loud sounds of firecrackers, Brownie responded by being extra aggressive and maintaining its stand in spite of the smoke and noise.

Consequently, it has now become less tame and might even bite an intruder or a stranger. It looks docile enough, though. Beware if you are within its reach. However it will go to its safe corner with a glance and a sharp word from me. It is no longer as affectionate as before. Perhaps it is growing up. But it is a fantastic guard dog.

Some of you might have noticed I have not been as active on the net as before. Recently I was persuaded to subscribe to Celcom broadband for a sum of RM68.00 monthly. I thought it might be a good idea as I could access the net anywhere I wanted.

Unfortunately if and when I managed to log-on to the network, often the connection broke. Often I obtained less than 5kbps. I had to resort to going online late at night. I regret terminating my streamyx connection which used to cost me RM77.00 a month. Unreliable though the service may be from time to time, at least I was able to log on to the network most of the time.

My advice to Sibu readers or from anywhere in Malaysia: borrow a modem from a friend and use it for a few days first before signing up with any internet service provider. Celcom is totally useless at my place of work but is often available at my home but with varying speeds depending on the time of the day

Streamyx is no good either. I will most likely be terminating my account end of this month. Have just signed up for Maxis broadband.

Opposite of me. I might have no choice but to reconnect streamyx hehe

I love parrot fish too. Celcom sucks! :/ No doubt about it.

I think they r very beautiful. :) I take good care of them hehe

Celcom Broadband in Sibu has been quite problematic previously, but if I remember correctly, during my last trip back there it was okay. Maybe it’s the area?

I guess the coverage is limited to certain areas

I only experienced Celcom Broadband service using prepaid, with a cap of 380+ kbps but it was much better than my postpaid Maxis Broadband service which seldom reach 200kbps. I probably get speed of 2Mbps for like 10 minutes of each month. :(
But then, since I’m shuttling b/w two homes, it makes more sense having a wireless connection than paying for two separate fix lines.

Wah, your sandals looks like they’ve been chewed by Brownie. :D

It likes the taste of the shoes I guess. I bought a bone from the vet more than RM20 but it just abandoned it after a few days :)

Ohmy Brownie is so big now.
He is a brave dog. Maybe you need to pet him more and give more love hehe.

My dog will run to the kitchen… as far as possible from the firecrackers. But he’s okay if we stand beside him. A little timid but not as bad as my neighbor’s dog who hide under the bed. :P Sorry about your shoes.

We are used to it. It will climb up a chair and open the shoe cabinet. Brownie is very intelligent.

Brownie is no longer a puppy! Wow he looks like a german shepherd now. I guess the sudden aggression could be due to him reaching maturity. Maybe if you neuter him, it will reduce some of the agression. But then again, he makes a good guard dog.

Brownie is very agressive now. Unlike all my previous dogs he is afraid of nothing or anyone. Neuter.. i got to think about that.

If possible, just use streamyx. The lesser among the evils.

I might reconnect streamyx if the situation continues

My oh My….the Internet is just too slow….which ever band….braodband or Cel…I am so disappointed most of the times..how can we be sure that every longhouse can have internet if we in the urban area experience this uncertainty?

Many schools still do not have the Internet!!

those who do enjoy poor reception

  9. I heard the same complain from people using Celcom Broadband with RM68 package. That is why I use RM98 package. Well, at least this package is reliable so far. Try to upgrade it to RM98 package and see any difference before terminating it.

Aduh RM98 is a lot of money jus to b connected :(

Hi Beng Beng, nice coming by.. your awkward slippers look familiar. ..i have a few pairs that looked like that.. all gone to the dustbin already.. my Labbie did that too… wonder what happened to the rest of the rubber..

Haha thanks for coming by. I hope the rest of the rubber isn’t in its stomach :)

Hang on to whatever is giving you the good connection and different places have different strength. Don’t jump out of the pan into the fire. I’m using Streamyx so far so good *touch wood* and just would not want to change unnecessarily. Of course nothing is perfect there are ups and downs just have to bear with any mishaps.
Haha dogs have conscience too eh knows where to seek comfort when it is guilty. tQ

Dogs have conscience. They know what is right n what is wrong.Streamyx i might take up again., there is no choice

Wireless is never stable. It depends on luck coz it’s all about location. If you always move around, then maybe it’s a good idea but it’s u stay at home mostly to do the online, stick to Streamyx, fixed line is always more reliable even though the service isn’t that great still it’s better than wireless.

Celcom service is very bad again today. I might have no choice but to go back to streamyx

Celcom Broadband is a ‘lightning speed internet access’ that what they says during the promo. But when i using it actually the speed is only just a normal speed not a’lightning’ and i can still accept it, but now it becomes worse even to open the internet explorer i have to wait several minutes not like earlier only a few second, the downloading that suppose to takes 2 or 3 minutes becomes 9 to 10 hours. This not just happened to me but to all the people before me.It seem like this problem is not new. What did Celcom do or done about this matters or they don’t have to do anything because this only their ‘marketing strategy’.
Celcom Broadband is a ‘lightning speed internet access-> that doesnt sound like the Celcom experience i have encountered so far
