My Longkang

I was jogging the other day and suddenly it poured. It really poured. I managed to find shelter at a nearby bus-stop.There were five men there including me with ages ranging from twenty to fifty. They would normally not be there if not for the rain. Neither did they know each other.

They were all looking at a window on the upper-level of a house. It had aluminium edged windows with black tinted glass. What caught everybody’s attention was a hanger with a ladies underwear hung up to dry. It was pink in colour.

The guys started to discuss among themselves. It looked a little too big to be an underwear. “Perhaps,” one of the I presume recently married man said, “it could be a blouse.” One of the bachelors ( I also presume because he could not be more than twenty two ) didn’t agree and the married guy said he knew better as he was more experienced because he was married. Everybody looked intently at the hanger with its precious cargo.

Then a SYT ( sweet young thing, a lovely Chinese girl appeared at the window to look at the rain. A lovely young girl. She had dyed straightened hair and beautiful expressive eyes. She was totally unaware so many pairs of eyes were looking at her. A lovely sight to behold with her straightened hair swirling about her face as she moved her head and the wind blew it about.

The guys wondered how could a SYT like her be wearing such a big, big underwear. One of the guys said it must definitely be a blouse and commented that some girls like to wear over-sized underwear at home as it is more comfortable. Then the SYT brought out some more laundry to dry including more of the over-sized underwear and bra . Instantly everybody was checking out her assets. It couldn’t be that under that loose fitting t-shirt there was, was ……….. .

Just at that moment a matron of sixty odd years of ample proportions turned up at the window. She looked down at the bus-stop. Eureka … mystery solved. Nobody bothered to look up at the window any more.
