This year’s Hari Kemerdekaan has passed by just like another day. Last night, I was a little ‘anxious’ when some ‘young revelers’ raced along some of the streets blaring their horns having a jolly good time. But there was no real danger to them: the streets of Sibu are not that busy and they were basically just kids looking for some excitement.

Karma and 9 temples the Thai movie

I watched the movie 9 Temples last night. Basically it wasn’t that great a movie. I am surprised it even made its way to our shores.

A significant scene in the movie was when the lead actor asked the monk if he needed to pack before their long journey. The monk then answered he had all he possessed on his physical person at that particular moment. Monks do not place much emphasis on possessions.

Energy is everything. Sometimes when I have trouble sleeping at night, getting through the day can be quite a chore. I am probably exaggerating a little but it seems my heart is beating a little harder and I just wish for the hours to pass by so that I can go home and get a much needed rest. The energy just isn’t there.
