Children are children and sometimes they think in mysterious ways. Last night Benghui approached me and told me my mother died before my father. I said yes. He then mentioned that his grandma ( mummy’s side ) would probably die before grandpa. I nodded.

I read the following on a thought-provoking post by Erna Mahyuni on The Malaysian Insider.

I am tired of citizens expecting much but refusing to give much in return You complain about racism but send your children to vernacular schools You call yourself Malaysian but refuse to even learn to speak Bahasa Malaysia.

It is hard to imagine is Zsa Zsa Gabor is 94 and seriously ill.

Anyway it is day eleven after surgery number three this year. The waiting room at the doctor’s was packed. There were no empty seats so I went off to a nearby coffee shop for a drink. A surly woman banged my cup of milo on the table.

I was thinking about the Israelites march to the promised land and how they had manna and quail as sustenance and yet they grumbled and complained. In the same way, if we compare our diet with that of our ancestors, our generation is more prosperous and consequently we have a richer and more diverse diet. We literally don’t have to worry so much about food on the dining table as the Lord provides. If you don’t believe it, just have a look at the contents in your refrigerator and your relatives and friends.

From my dog brownie

I woke up last night to sounds of Brownie barking furiously. Apparently a drunk guy decided to ‘walk’ around my area and thought it fun to throw stones at Brownie when Brownie barked at him. Hi! I am Pretty Pauline. I am the guest blogger for the day. :)

My five children are the air to me! I love God and the hubs, who is the calm to my crazy. In a little less than a year I will be forty, and I have over 100 pounds to lose. Giving up my yummies already has me a bit down-in-the-mouth! Still, I am determined to try new things, laugh a lot, and find fun in the hard work of this journey. Your comments would really lift me up me along the way!

We finally did it. We joined the rest of our friends in having a television set in the home. We did have a set but it was in black and white and the audio was not so good. It usually took about half an hour to warm up before the screen brightened up and anything could be seen. :) Keeping my fingers crossed Benghui would not be too distracted from his studies.

On the way home from the hospital, Mrs BB stopped by at our favorite noodle joint for some noodles-take-away. The reason being that it was already late and Mrs had another appointment that evening and Benghui was hungry. Ah Ming, gave Mrs BB a smile and then ignored her as he usually does. He gave me a brilliant smile.
