Just sharing idle thoughts flitting through my mind. To what extent does karma, predestined destiny, ‘takdir’ and God’s will play in our lives? I am sure some would say we are capable of altering our destiny etc etc and give a specific example or two. That is quoting specifics but I am talking about it in a general manner. I am sure there are exceptions though.

Inevitably with my improving health, my social life is thriving again. Another aspect of social life is social drinking. Usually in small groups we would congregate somewhere to have a beer or two. Occasionally it might get a little boisterous but overall everybody knows their limits.

To continue from the previous post, I have devised a system to win back Benghui from his facebook addiction. Now life is simply wonderful. I wake up and cook whatever Benghui wants for breakfast so that when he wakes up, he will have some food to eat. He loves to have half boiled eggs with a bit of soya sauce and pepper. I also cook some oats, noodles or fried rice.

Some of you might be wondering why I haven’t updated for a while. The reason is that Benghui has gone crazy over facebook and online games. He will spend hours online with the same friends chatting online while playing online games. It has got to the extent it has become addictive.

After a few 8-course dinners in the same number of days I am getting tired of eating out. Eating out is great as a form of celebration but do we need to eat so much? Perhaps it is because Sibu is a small place and we tend to wear many hats. It is not unusual to see familiar faces at different functions. There are always the NGO linked dinners, the wedding dinners, the birthday dinners, the family dinners etc. It gets so complicated sometimes that I do not have a chance to finish cooking the food I buy at the market every weekend.
