Daddy and I woke up early to go to the market. We decided to make Penang hockien mee. There is no real hockien mee stall near my house. It was a surprise for mummy. Also to celebrate I had opened a bank account with my ang pow money.

We spent RM9.90. We bought CCK pre-cooked prawns, yellow noodles, tauge ( bean sprouts ), spices and used whatever we could find at home.

A lot of work to cook the hockien mee soup. Red ginger ( lengkuas ), big and small onions, garlic, serai, salt, cili, dried prawns and some msg.

We used this. It is so easy. I mixed it with 1.5 litres of boiled drinking water.

It was spicy but delicious.

Mummy woke up. Mummy came down. Mummy didn’t like it. There was no more boiled drinking water. :( I had used it all for my Penang hockien mee soup. :( :(
