Mrs Bengbeng’s speaks on elections

I am Mrs Bengbeng.A thief entered a neighbour’s house this morning.I am nervous when my husband is not at home.I look at the rising waters in Sibu today. My purse feels the rising price of goods in the market.

I look at the lack of respect for women in parliament.Uncalled for remarks are made against us,ladies. We are 50% of the population and this is the respect we get.I look at our credit card bills for petrol.I look at how we pay a few thousand annually to Lanang Bridge toll operator.I worry about limited education opportunities for my son.

It is hard to feel great today.I have only one vote.I will go to vote tomorrow, rain or shine, flood or no flood.

Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes.

Watching Korean Movie Stained Glass/Melodrama of Beautiful Winter to pass my Chinese New Year holidays.

Hello everybody. I am Mrs Bengbeng. Thank you all for your Chinese New Year wishes. It is deeply appreciated.

It has been ages since I blogged. I have been busy. Sometimes I wish we were still living in our apartment. To maintain a house means work, work and work.

Bengbeng was busy painting the gate until 2p.m. Benghui helped .I prefer him to sit inside the house and study.

Then there was the climbing up and down hanging lanterns, decorations, fixing lights etc. I do not know why men like activities like these. Father and son were happy doing it. To me, not so important. To me I prefer to see new linen on the beds, washed curtains, clean compound and nutritious snacks on the table.

I remember the year we celebrated new year in an apartment. It was nice to have a swimming pool. I had almost no work to do. But I don’t swim and I had a neighbour who liked loud music.

Nowadays people cannot sustain hard work. Two ladies charged an old man RM380 for an hour’s house-cleaning. The ladies thought they had worked very hard.

The hour is one in the morning. I do not know how many visitors will come. I have prepared something just in case. There usually are a lot of visitors.

Mr and Mrs Wuching visited us in December . I had no idea Bengbeng would be bringing them home. I wasn’t properly dressed for visitors. Mrs Wuching was very kind and charming. We watched Korean movie together.

In a way it is nice to have a blog. We look at life through a fresh angle.

I have prepared Melodrama of Beautiful Winter/Stained Glass to keep me company for the next few days. I like to watch Korean movies. The main characters are Kim Sung Su, Kim Ha Nul and Lee Dong Gun.

I will get Bengbeng to take shots and put on my post and then it will look professional.

Happy New Year

Thank you for reading.

The house is quiet. Benghui is asleep. Bengbeng is busy. It is a pleasure to hear from you all. I will write from time to time. Bengbeng has taught me how to access yr websites. It is a pleasure to read your posts.

What am I doing now? I am cooking chicken soup in a slow cooker. When everybody wakes I have soup to cook with noodles. I sound so homely hehe. I am not. But I prefer to stay at home.

I am very particular with what i serve my family and do not use seasoning/monosodium glutamate. I try to get maximum nutrition from the ingredients.

I was shocked when I went to market this morning. Vege has gone up in price. Maybe it is because of the rain. Small eggs now cost RM9.00 per tray.

Bengbeng cannot make me write another blog if I don’t want. But I enjoy writing tonight. The sound of the air-con and the rain on rooftop makes me feel at ease.

I prefer to work in the garden, do the laundry, do house-work. The telly is off. I do not watch Korean series. I find I have more time. I become more efficient with my time.

Bengbeng likes to buy new new clothes and gadgets to make my life easier. To me, only new things for Benghui are important. He is growing fast so I do not spoil him. Clothes are only things that clothe a person. The person is still the same.

I spend time and money to ensure he has all the learning experiences I can give. Benghui is a bit upset as his Siamese fish has gone to ‘heaven’. The television is still off. I find the peace restful. My weekends are for me to recover from my busy schedule.

Will read your blogs more often when I have the time. Bye.

Miss Calm and Collected’s thoughts

Hello everybody,

I am referred to by Bengbeng as Miss Calm and Collected. In a way, that is true. I am almost always calm and usually collected more so than Bengbeng. That is not to say that I do not care about issues. I keep it to myself and show little emotion.

I was emotionally affected and disgusted by the case of the woman in Miri who was assaulted and had her ……. cut off but in typical foochow manner, I speak few words. However I try my best to support Bengbeng in all his endeavours and interests. Read more »
