Thank you all for your birthday wishes.
Benghui surprised me through the blog. How was my birthday? It was like any other day. Bengbeng always has grand ideas. I shot them down. No need to waste money.
I don’t like to dress up and go out. My taste in food is simple. I eat mainly vegetarian stuff. How many ways can one cook vegetables?
Benghui insisted I take him to a bakery to buy some bread. He had other ideas. The cheapest cake was RM29.00. He had only RMRM7.00. He bought me a small butter raisin cake. It is enough. It is the thought that counts.
With each passing year, I don’t feel any older. I can still wear the clothes I wore in my twenties. But emotionally I am more settled. And yes, I am contented with my life. Of course there are worries from time to time but nothing major.
Mylongkang has been around for almost four years now. It is their toy. Initially I thought the fad would pass. Benghui’s command of the English language has improved a lot due to the blog. Lately Benghui has been reading the newspapers every day both English and Chinese.
They spend time on the blog. Bengbeng is often away from home taking photographs. But it is a harmless hobby and I have no objections. I have my own career and there is so much to do at home.
p.s. Bengbeng and I still remain to a certain extent anonymous and Bengbeng posted this pic on the blog three years ago. It is an old photo, a very old photo. Nobody would recognize me from this photo. The lady at the back is a beautician. The hand on the left belongs to Hean Richards, Bengbeng’s sister.Today I would need Hean, a beautician and a miracle to look like this. ( smile )
There will be no update from Bengbeng today. His legs are hurting and Benghui is busy studying
