The next stop of our tour was Amsterdam, the “Venice of the North”, We took a canal cruise, visited a clogs factory and also visited a cheese factory. We had a little free time so we took a leisurely stroll around the tourist area and did some shopping by ourselves.
I discovered a secret. If my husband and I conversed in Hockien, the shopkeepers won’t understand us and it was easier to bargain. We just pretended not to know much English and waited for them to come down to our prices.
There is a curious sense of history in Amsterdam. It is not quite Paris but I love the city. I love the canals and the scenes by the canals.
We then visited Brussels. By then, I was feeling a little homesick. It gets tiring traveling all the time and checking in and checking out of hotels and eating strange food.
We also experienced camera problems. For this post, I have to borrow some pics from virtourist.com
Many thanks to virtourist.com
I hope you enjoy the pics. However the few pics I managed to take didn’t quite show the beauty of the Brussles.

Bengsim.

3rd Day
We drove up to Engelbert valley. From here we take a cable car ride to the breathtaking panorama at Mt. Titlis, 3020m above sea level. From the Ice Flyer chairlift, we could view the glacier crevasses.
It wasn’t as cold as I expected. Being up here makes me feel very very far from Malaysia. Here I am the foreigner.
