The World’s Like a Flower

The world’s like a flower
Either fallen or grown
The leaves cover secrets
And the pedals are shown
We’re like a flower

The world’s like a rose
Every rose has its thorns
If we make a mistake
The skin gets torn
We’re like a flower

The world’s like a daisy
Pretty and bright
We all have our colors
But in a way we’re just right
We’re like a flower

The world’s like a flower
All the thorns will pass through
The world’s like a flower
Just waiting to bloom

This week together with Mary, Huai Bin, and Suituapui I had a chance to welcome Will to Sibu. He brought along a friend not in pic kongkay. I couldn’t stay long as I had other appointments elsewhere. Great meeting up with you all. :)

Weekend snapshot: stroke and easy chair

WS2

watching tv

My son loves his granny very much. He knows as a stroke patient she is probably very bored. He would try to arouse her from her inner thoughts and tease her and basically keep her happy. It is a tall order as any one taking care of stroke patients is aware. For the record I wish to thank God granny has shown remarkable recovery and has managed after three months to able to nod and blink her eyes to communicate with us. Praise be to God.

Cooking tips from the bamboo kitchen-weekend snapshots

pineapple chicken soup

My nose lead me to this scene while I was having noodles at a coffee shop. The smell of cooking in the open. It was awesome. I noticed they were cooking inside bamboo.

Weekend snapshots : of a hen and a cat

WS2

For this week I am sharing a video and some pics I took of a cat and a hen. Just experimenting with pic taking of animals. It is entirely a different kettle of fish from taking pics of scenery or people. They don’t obey instructions and are very natural. :) I still have much to learn in terms of getting the ‘perfect shot’ .

My home town can be termed as a moderately prosperous town. Nobody is starving or has no means to earn a living if one is willing to work hard. In exceptional cases, relatives, friends, society at large and the government will chip in to help.

Weekend snapshot : flowers on a balcony

WS2

balcony flowers

Pic shows fu kui hua or literally translated high-class prosperity flower on the 1st floor balcony of a building next to Garden Hotel. I think it is beautiful and very creative of the house owner. It brightens up not only the apartment but the whole area.

However I wouldn’t want to stand directly beneath the apartment should a strong wind be blowing.:)

Have a great week ahead every body.

The three skeletons from hell

WS2

Today’s snapshot was taken at a friend’s shop. He told me these were very hot items in his shop. Many kids came to buy these toys. These toys are joined to a key chain and sold at Rm1.20 in his shop each.

toy figurines

Perhaps it shows the generation gap but I honestly do not see what is so cool about keeping figurines like these as toys. It seems to be a fad amongst school children. They are actually made of plastic although they look like metal. The kids attach it to their pencil cases, school bags, water containers etc… perhaps to look hip?
